Award: We are a Great Place to Work

In March, we were officially recognized by the international research and consulting institute Great Place to Work.

Award: We are a Great Place to Work

In the "Best Employers in Germany" competition, we took a fantastic ninth place in the "Companies with 50 to 100 employees" category. We even came fourth in the "Best ITC Employer" category. 700 companies applied for an award, this was our first time taking part and we are incredibly proud of our ranking. We already knew that we were doing a lot of things right and that everyone feels very comfortable, but this result clearly confirms our assumption once again.

Two metrics were taken into account for the evaluation of our agency in the ranking. Firstly, the results of an employee survey were evaluated, which took place in advance. Secondly, we created a culture audit in which we presented our culture and values. Here we described all our measures in areas such as communication, appreciation, cohesion, onboarding, training, health promotion and more.

The results of the survey and culture audit, in addition to the ranking, are an absolute benefit for us. The survey gave us valuable internal feedback and showed us how things are really going at our company and where we can still improve things for our employees. The quality of the working culture is determined in particular by personal relationships within a company, for example by the quality of internal communication, the appreciation experienced and the type and quality of leadership. The survey results were therefore divided into the following 5 dimensions: Credibility, Respect, Fairness, Pride, Team Spirit - we had well above average results in all areas. This really makes us incredibly proud and we have only achieved this together, because we all work on our culture every day.

The cultural audit is also of great value to us. It took several weeks to list all the measures and activities for employees and for creating and maintaining our culture. This was also announced by Great Place to Work in advance. I honestly thought we would get it done much faster. But it did indeed take time to work out all the individual measures and, above all, to recognize them as such. We weren't even aware of many things as "special measures", as we work with them on a daily basis. We couldn't see the wood for the trees. Thank goodness we involved a lot of colleagues and got an increasingly complete picture.

The comprehensive catalog of measures totally amazed us and it was really great to realize once again how many great things we do for our employees and how committed we are to ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and gets what they need. And of course we pass this knowledge on to all existing and new employees. For example, in our training course "The siteGeist", which every new employee receives and where we explain our working culture, our communication channels and how important it is for all colleagues to help shape the company. And where we also directly encourage people to help shape things, to get involved, to make sitegeist the place where you can be, where you can grow.

Of course, we also uncovered some areas where we can do more. This was also incredibly helpful and we have already been able to make improvements in most areas.

We will participate again. We have gained many new employees since the last survey and want to hear their opinions. We are also aware that rapid growth always has a certain impact on culture. Our top priority is to maintain a good, healthy working culture and to have happy, satisfied, motivated employees who can develop and grow. Because - and every company should ask itself this question - where would we be without our employees?
