Relaunch of the ANAG partner network with SSO integration and supplier shops alongside the main website anag.net

Project Background

ANAG (Automobilgruppe Nord AG), a network of over 800 car dealerships and service centers, required a full redesign of both their internal Partnernet portal and their public-facing website anag.net.

The objective was to develop a modern, user-friendly platform that integrates supplier shops via Single Sign-On (SSO), provides editorial content, and ensures a seamless user experience.

ANAG offers its members centralized access to supplier shops, information resources, and order systems. The existing Partnernet needed a complete overhaul to meet today’s technical requirements. The greatest challenge lay in the seamless integration of SSO with Microsoft Dynamics 365, while ensuring a flexible and scalable solution for future network expansion.

Approach and objectives

Both the Partnernet and the corporate website were completely rebuilt using license-free open-source technologies, including:

  • Neos CMS for content management
  • Keycloak for identity and access management (IAM)

The new portal features a responsive design aligned with ANAG’s corporate identity. Integration of up to 20 supplier shops was achieved via SSO. The personalized homepage welcomes users with company-specific content, and the CMS allows editors to create and manage pages flexibly, with targeted access control for different user groups.

  • SSO Integration: Supplier shops are linked via a centralized SSO system (Keycloak), allowing users to log in seamlessly across services.
  • Modern Design & User Experience: A fully responsive UI ensures excellent usability, including on mobile devices.
  • Personalized Content & CMS: Editors can publish targeted content for specific user groups, while each user sees a personalized dashboard.
  • Service Information System: A structured overview of suppliers, categorized by main and subgroups, with detailed information.
  • Integrated Calendar & News System: Centralized access to important partner events and updates.
  • Pioneer in Neos 9: This was the first project worldwide to be implemented with Neos 9.

Outcomes

The newly designed ANAG Partnernet provides members with a user-centric platform featuring:

  • Seamless supplier shop access via SSO
  • Improved structure and findability
  • Powerful editorial tools for targeted and flexible content delivery
  • User behavior tracking for detailed usage analysis

This has significantly increased platform usability and editorial efficiency while enhancing the digital service offering of the Automobilgruppe Nord AG.
