Our Client
founded in 1912, Nordmann is still an independent family business that distributes natural and chemical raw materials, additives and specialty chemicals in Europe, Asia and North America.
The Project
Nordmann's aim was to relaunch the nordmann.global website and make it clearer for the user. The main focus was to be on the presentation of around 60,000 products, which had no platform at all on the old website.
In an early workshop with all stakeholders from the industries responsible for the products, it was jointly discussed and decided how the products should be presented on the website and made searchable. It was also defined what content the product detail pages could be filled with and how an importer could implement this information.
The heart of the new website is now the more than 60,000 automatically generated product detail pages. GEO localization and browser language are used to identify which products are displayed in the search results based on the corresponding sales market and, in a second step, which contact persons are displayed on the product page.
An interactive product finder allows users to find their products, obtain information and contact the right person using a wide range of filter options. A sophisticated autosuggestion tool also supports this search.
In addition, the Nordmann website offers the opportunity to find out about upcoming events such as trade fairs and job vacancies. A quick application via the integrated form is easily possible.
and the login area provides access to further information on cosmetics.
Another highlight of this Neos project is the modular form system used.
This allows editors to create different forms with a wide variety of fields and characteristics using just a single content element. In the past, a form would have had to be developed for each form; this effort is now eliminated and Nordmann is more flexible in the use of forms.
