sitegeist TYPO3 Innovation Day

Our Innovation Day focused on the topic of "Fluid Components". For all non-developers: Fluid Components is an extension for TYPO3which enables Frontend developers to create encapsulated components in pure Fluid. By defining a clear interface (API) for integration, Frontend developers can implement components independently of Backend developers. This saves time, increases productivity and leads to a uniform appearance of the entire project.
Everything clear?
At fluidcomponents.sitegeist.de we present the advantages of working with components in more detail and show you how you too can benefit from Fluid Components and the Fluid Styleguide based on them for your project.
Level up
The idea of the Innovation Day was to take components and the style guide to the next level in a concerted effort to a) improve stability and flexibility for developers and b) optimize user-friendliness for non-technicians. The open tasks were discussed in a large group at the beginning of the Innovation Day and then distributed to smaller interdisciplinary teams. The aim was to develop concentrated solutions within a defined period of time or at least to identify possible solutions, which was surprisingly successful for the majority of the tasks.

The format proves us right
In purely business terms, a whole day times 13 employees is already a major investment. However, such an intensive and undisturbed exchange is unfortunately no longer possible otherwise. The project business is too fast. The Flow is interrupted too often. In the end, several Gordian knots were cut.
In the next few weeks, there will therefore be some updates to the Fluid Components and the Fluid Styleguide. This will not only please the TYPO3 community, but also our sitegeist customers: Large TYPO3 websites can simply be programmed more efficiently and sustainably. Components and the style guide were most recently used for the new SPIEGEL Group website. Here, the component-based approach forms the technical basis for all other TYPO3 mirror projects.
We'll tell you more about that. Stay tuned.
