Our Client

The family-owned company travelite has a new addition: with the claim "Make the world a better case", travelite is launching its new IMPACKT brand on the market. The first product line of the IMPACKT brand is called IP1 and includes suitcases in various sizes and a beauty case. The products not only stand out with their expressive colors, but also score points when it comes to sustainability. The IMPACKT cases are largely made from recycled post-consumer plastic. In addition, all common wear parts are repairable. Another special feature: thanks to click & roll, the case wheels can be easily replaced. This is not only a point for sustainability but also allows travellers to customize their suitcase. So everyone can combine the joy of traveling with sustainability.

The Project

After the successful implementation of the travelite store, the planning for the IMPACKT store began. The aim of the project was to use as much as possible from the already implemented travelite store but still have enough options for individualization.

Technically, the online store is based on Shopware 6 with a Shopware Professional license.

Two Stores - One Backend

As the customer already has a Shopware store, the possibility of using multiple sales channels in one Shopware system was utilized. The IMPACKT store was added to the existing environment as a new sales channel. The advantage here is that the new store can also access the plugins and functions of the existing store. As it is possible to adjust the settings of many plugins according to the sales channel, there are no or only a few restrictions, so that each channel can be individualized. Thus, the goal was achieved to use the existing infrastructure of the travelite store but still have enough possibilities for individualization.

As both stores share a Backend, orders from both sales channels appear in the order overview. In addition to the option of filtering orders by sales channel, different number ranges were added here to enable direct differentiation in connected systems.

Shopware Shape Theme as a Basis

With regard to the theme, a separate theme was used for the new IMPACKT store, independent of the existing Travelite theme. The Shape theme from Shopware was used as the basis and extended according to the customer's requirements. In particular, the product detail page was expanded to include additional fields and features, which were already included in the Travelite theme.

We were excited to support travelite in extending their digital ecosystem with the IMPACKT brand. This project showcases how modern commerce infrastructure and sustainability can go hand in hand.
