An illustrious group of decision-makers from the tourism industry in Hamburg met for the "KI BootCamp" organised by sitegeist.
From ChatGPT to Notebook LM - AI you can touch
The workshop started with a solid grounding in the use of ChatGPT: How do you formulate good prompts? What are the limits? And how do you turn a nice tool into a real productivity booster? Building on this, we went straight into practice - with custom GPTs that show how AI can be tailored precisely to your own tasks, roles or company contexts.
Another highlight: canvas mode. Structuring content, developing texts together, making ideas visually tangible - all in a fluid work process. It was precisely here that many participants realised how much AI can support their daily project work.
Inspiration, fun and learning
It's about getting the "AI mindset".
The focus is on the question of how we can use AI tools such as ChatGPT in such a way that they really help tourism professionals in their everyday work - beyond gimmicks and hype. The aim was to show the potential of the tools if they are consciously embedded: as support for ideas, for better decisions and for efficientre Ablprocesses - without relinquishing their own professional responsibility.
Many participants already use AI regularly, but often experience in the workshop that there is much more "in it" if you adapt your way of working and thinking a little.
This motivated group of decision-makers from the tourism industry in Hamburg was already quite far ahead. And even though almost all participants stated that they already use AI very often on a daily basis, there were a large number of things that will lead to a multiplication of the impact and results. It's the many little things that bring the real benefits and it's about basic understanding. How AI works in itself is not difficult; you just need to know it and apply it to multiply the impact of the output.
