Relaunch for the Destination Bad Tölz

The aim of the new website of the Bad Tölz destination was to meet the requirements of the increasing mobile target group and to offer a responsive website. In the course of this, the design was adapted to the new means of communication.

The Project

It was important to present information about Bad Tölz and its activities in an appealing way for vacationers and visitors to the area. The graphic approach provides an easy-to-use website with clear structures for users.

The appealing design combines a "tile design" with large and emotionally inviting images.

Mobile and content first.

The mobile first approach was strictly pursued, e.g. by already using mobile navigation within the desktop view. This offers performance advantages on the one hand and a clear line in user guidance across all devices on the other.

By eliminating large and prominent navigation on desktop devices, intensive engagement with the content is guaranteed on all mobile devices. Large, emotionally inviting image stages and teasers in tile design help the user to find their way around.

 

 

Project variants for the citizen and business sectors

Our task was not only to develop a modern, state-of-the-art website, but also to implement a technical framework that could be adapted for the areas of business and citizens.
The requirement called for a user-friendly interface and simple operation of the technical system, allowing editors to concentrate fully on the content. This spoke in favor of Content-Management-System Neos .

Editorial Highlights

In addition to the standard functions in Neos, the following functions were made available with the relaunch of the Bad Tölz website:

  • Freely positionable placement of the quick booking mask
  • Possibility of a scroll-down functionality for each section
  • Possibility to place a light or dark layer over the image to ensure readability on all devices
  • Simple handling of multilingualism
  • Possibility to set News

Project expansion over the years

Over time, we have created additional features for Bad Tölz and continuously developed the website. For example, the homepage was given a new look and a search function was integrated. Users can also use a Google Map to search for and display stores and other service providers.
