The Requirement
CTS EVENTIM wants to offer customers the opportunity to book their event tickets and suitable accommodation directly from a single provider with an expanded offering on the new travel platform EVENTIM.Travel.
EVENTIM.Travel will be a one-stop shop for anyone who wants to turn their event visit into a short trip. Customers have usually already purchased their tickets and can find accommodation here that is close to their location, has received good reviews from previous guests or matches their preferred price range.
The Implementation
Together with CTS eventim, the idea was worked out in detail during the concept phase and the exact scope of the project was determined. Specific scenarios were also evaluated and implemented with regard to the technical and infrastructural environment.
The team also developed design and functionality criteria. The development was carried out iteratively using an agile approach.
The Result
The result is the EVENTIM.Travel travel platform: this service saves customers the time-consuming search for the right hotel and they only have to go through the checkout process once.
The curated hotel recommendations in the categories "Best Price", "Recommendations" and "Proximity to the event location" offer a special USP. Customers can see the distance to the venue at a glance on a map.
The platform uses the latest technologies for cloud hosting, Frontend development and also in relation to Neos & Flow, where it has initiated the development of various open source packages.
