For over 15 years, SIGNUM has stood for perfection—whether in handcrafted custom saddles or unique equestrian gear. The range is rounded out by a diverse and high-quality product line for both horse and rider.
From beginners to professionals, SIGNUM offers a broad selection of equipment—including accessories for SIGNUM saddles, gear for Working Equitation, and a variety of bridles, reins, and tack.
The Project
Together with Signum Sattelservice, we kicked off the concept and implementation of the new online shop in August 2020. Based on Shopware 5, the shop was successfully launched just three months later—in time for the Christmas season in November.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, the entire project was conducted remotely. Coordination, design, and development were carried out at the usual high level of quality, using video conferencing for personal check-ins and screen sharing for efficient collaboration.
Thanks to our well-established digital workflows, we were able to guarantee smooth cooperation, even under challenging circumstances.

The project’s tight timeline was only possible through close collaboration. We developed the shop and content in parallel, working closely with Signum’s team. This matched sitegeist’s preferred RE.A.L. approach: agile development and iterative project expansion.
One of the standout features was a custom saddle pad configurator, based on Shopware’s “Custom Products” plugin. It was enhanced with tailored logic to generate unique article numbers during the configuration process—simplifying backend operations for shop administrators.
The shop will be expanded in phases, including:
- Integration with a merchandise management system (ERP)
- Internationalization for additional markets
This ensures Signum Sattelservice is digitally equipped for future growth.
