sitegeist wins Neos Award 2025

Award for 2nd best Neos project worldwide
Karlsruhe, June 19, 2025 - Big stage for sitegeist at the Neos Conference 2025: In the festive setting of the Genohotel in Karlsruhe, our "ANAG PartnerNet and Website Relaunch" project was awarded 2nd place in the "Best Neos Project " category. An honor that we are proud to accept - and which recognizes a project that combines technical excellence, well thought-out user guidance and sustainable open source infrastructure at the highest level.
The award was accepted personally by Bernhard Schmitt (Neos Core Developer, Senior Developer and Technical Lead of the project at sitegeist) and Sven Ditz (Managing Director of sitegeist).

A digital network for over 800 car dealerships
At the heart of the award-winning project is the complete redevelopment of the ANAG PartnerNet, the central digital platform of Automobilgruppe Nord AG. As an association of over 800 car dealerships and service companies, ANAG provides its members with access to supplier stores, ordering systems and information services via the portal.
The new partner network is based on Neos 9 and relies on a comprehensive technical foundation: from single sign-on and keycloak to a highly personalized Content-Management-System, which can display content for specific target groups.
In the course of the project, the public company website was also relaunched, which is now also based on Neos as a modern addition to the partner network and benefits from the modular setup in terms of both technology and design.

A platform that creates added value
In addition to technical excellence, the focus was also on security, efficiency and future viability:
Outdated, self-developed SSO solutions were replaced by an open, standardized approach. Redundant user accounts are a thing of the past - an enormous gain in terms of security and ease of use. Thanks to NEOS, editors can now also work much more flexibly, quickly and efficiently.
Jury praises strong integration and economic benefits
The jury was particularly impressed by the robust and well thought-out SSO integration, which is an example of how Neos CMS can be seamlessly embedded in existing system landscapes - and not only modernizes the technical infrastructure, but also opens up new business potential.
The project impressed not only with its technical sophistication, but also with its strategic added value for everyone involved.

Also nominated: "sitegeist.SchemeOnYou"
In addition to the success with the ANAG project, sitegeist was also nominated for the Dedication Award with its in-house open source package sitegeist.SchemeOnYou.
Even though we were unable to prevail against the strong competition here, we are delighted with the nomination as recognition and further confirmation of our ongoing commitment to the Neos community.
An evening with charisma
The Neos Conference 2025 at the Genohotel Karlsruhe provided the perfect setting for the presentation of this year's NEOS Awards - and was also a place for exchange, encounters and inspiration.
Representatives from agencies, companies, the developer community and the Neos core team came together to celebrate the best projects and technological developments of the past year. The event offered exciting insights into current developments around Neos, practical presentations and plenty of opportunities for networking.

Thanks to all involved
Our special thanks go to our customer, Automobilgruppe Nord AG, for the trust, the cooperative partnership and the courage to take innovative paths. It was a pleasure to realize this ambitious project together.
We would also like to thank the agency punkt.de, which provided us with technical support during the project - in particular by hosting the Keycloak server.
We would also like to thank punkt.de and sandstorm for organizing the Neos Conference 2025, which once again created a great framework for exchange within the Neos community this year. Finally, we would like to thank Daniel Lienert from punkt.de for providing the images from the conference.
