Bund der Versicherten e. V.
Lead Generation Through an Optimized Registration Process

Overview and Challenge
The Bund der Versicherten e.V. (BdV) has been advocating for consumer protection and the interests of policyholders since 1982. With around 45,000 members, the BdV offers advice on private insurance and provides fair insurance coverage through member contracts.
sitegeist was tasked with strengthening lead generation through the development of a new membership registration form and supporting the BdV in acquiring new members.

Approach and Objectives
As part of the project, the existing onboarding process for new members was analyzed and completely redesigned. The result was a new registration form that offered significantly better usability from a UI/UX perspective compared to its predecessor, along with a semi-automated review process for the responsible department.
The primary goal of the new form was to make the registration process easier for users—ultimately increasing membership conversion rates.
At the same time, all necessary legal measures were implemented to give existing members the option to cancel their membership.
