Caritas Gesundheit Berlin gGmbH is a hospital group in the Berlin and Brandenburg region that specializes in healthcare and social services. It is also part of the Caritas Association.
With hospitals, medical care centers, hospices and geriatric care facilities in several Berlin districts and in Brandenburg an der Havel, Caritas Gesundheit has been an integral part of healthcare provision in Berlin and Brandenburg for many years.
The aim of Caritas Gesundheit is to provide comprehensive, high-quality medical care that focuses on the well-being of the patient. The headquarters of Caritas Gesundheit is the Dominikus Hospital in Berlin Reinickendorf.
The goals.
The initial situation:
- many different appearances of the individual facilities
- various different CMS
- different designs
- a lot of time for editors
The goals were clear:
- A standardized CMS
- A uniform, modern design with optimal user guidance
- All facilities and centers under one domain
- and yet: Each individual facility with a home page character (HPC)
Iterative development.
Project launch & concept
The project kicked off with a kick-off workshop together with the brand agency on site in Berlin. Goals and requirements were coordinated and all relevant departments were involved at an early stage.
Strategy & content
The relaunch concept focused on overarching content about Caritas Gesundheit Berlin as well as individual pages for each institution. In addition, a specialist article section was designed for relevant topics.
Design & implementation
Based on this, a new UX/UI design was created in close coordination with the client. Regular shoulder checks enabled an agile response to new requirements.
Further development & modules
Since going live, the website has been continuously expanded, for example through SEO measures or new modules such as a baby gallery for the neonatal units.

Follow projects: HR Website
After the successful relaunch of the main site, the client approached us with the request to also take on the redevelopment of the HR site.
In order to make maximum use of technical synergy effects, the basic design of Caritas Gesundheit was slightly adapted by the brand agency for the HR site.
The focus of this project was on the requirements:
- target group-specific layout, especially for a younger target group
- intuitive maintenance of contact persons and locations in the Neos CMS by the editors
- API connection to the HR tool Recruitee with the functions:
- Implementation as a React app
- JobList(import of data from Recruitee)
- Live search
- Filter functions (expandable)
- Application form (secure transmission of data to Recruitee)
