Nordmann is a leading multinational company in the field of chemical distribution
The company distributes natural and chemical raw materials, additives and specialty chemicals worldwide. Nordmann was founded in 1912 and is still an independent, family-run company that is part of Georg Nordmann Holding AG. With 24 subsidiaries in Europe, Asia and North America, Nordmann employs around 520 people and generates sales of around 620 million euros. The company supplies various industries, including the automotive, construction, electronics, healthcare and food industries, as well as many other sectors, with high-quality raw materials and specialized chemical products

Initial situation
The relaunch project of nordmann.global was successfully implemented at the end of 2023 - with the open sourceCMS Neoswhich was also developed by sitegeist. Neos already offers strong SEO standards, which we used and expanded in a targeted manner.

Thanks to these targeted measures, the website was optimally aligned for search engines and its visibility was sustainably increased.
SEO performance goes through the roof!
As part of our initial keyword research before the planned relaunch of nordmann.global, we pointed out to the client the considerable ranking potential of its extensive product range. The old domain did not yet offer independent indexable URLs for each product. When designing the new website, however, we made sure that each product had its own indexable URL. We also added automated metadata to the product details, which included SEO-relevant information such as the CAS number.


Result: Measurable increase in performance
Due to the large number of new URLs that were still unknown to Google, not all product URLs made it into the index straight away. With ongoing optimization and a little patience (SEO is a long-term measure, as we all know), we got the product detail pages into the index.
The resulting increase in performance is impressive
We want to automatically improve the newly developed rankings of the now indexed product detail pages through joint commitment and with the support of AI in order to continuously optimize the rankings.
The following graphic shows (according to Sistrix) a number of new keyword rankings for which we did not yet rank a month ago and which are now covered by the product detail pages.
