NEOS
At sitegeist, we think Neos is one of the coolest things in the world – and a true powerhouse among open source content management systems.
Who invented it? Neos originated from the TYPO3 community. It’s based on its own PHP framework, Flow, and has been an independent project since 2015. It’s continuously developed with love and enthusiasm by the Neos community.

Working in the sitegeist NEOS team
sitegeist is structured into multiple Business Units – one of them is our Neos Unit. It consists of two interdisciplinary teams that collaborate closely. Each Business Unit has a dedicated business lead who actively drives both the unit’s development and the personal growth of each team member. As always at sitegeist, this happens collaboratively and through open exchange.
Every sitegeist team also includes a Team Coach who focuses on optimizing agile processes, organizing regular retrospectives, and supporting interpersonal topics.
In addition, there is a Team Business Manager responsible for resource planning and managing team capacity.

4 things we love about NEOS

NEOS Events and awards with sitegeist
We’re die-hard Neos fans – which is why we actively support the Neos open source community.
sitegeist is a sponsor and host of the annual Neos Conference, and we regularly contribute with our own speakers at this community highlight.
We also host and initiate Neos Meetups and organize Code Sprints. Some events—like the first-ever Neos Barcamp and the international Neos Business Conference—were even launched by sitegeist.
We’re also proud recipients of multiple Neos Awards and have published many of our own Neos packages on GitHub.

Exchange and further training at sitegeist
At sitegeist, there is always a lively internal exchange between the various Business Units. We have developed special formats for this, which are now among our favorite sitegeist traditions: our "Latest & Greatest", our think tank "Hollenstedt", the sitegeist Barcamplucky Lunch, our sitegeist InnovationDay and much more.
As you can see, sitegeist never stands still and thrives on the ideas and experiments of our entire team. That's why further training, inspiration and innovation are very important to us and are encouraged. Develop Neos with us now and let's realize the best Neos projects worldwide together !
